Mission Statement
The D/FW RX-7 club is a free club open to any rotary car owners and enthusiasts in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas metroplex and surrounding areas. Anyone with an interest in RX-7's is welcome to join but our events are centered around the DFW metropolitan area. We meet for a social get together every first Saturday of the month unless some major event interferes, Christmas, New Years Eve, etc. In those cases we typically meet on the second Saturday. Details are also posted in the News section below. Anyone interested in RX-7s, RX-8s, or any other rotary powered vehicle is encouraged to attend. Ownership is not required, only an interest in these unique vehicles and a passion for automobiles in general is needed.
Mobile noise makers need not apply. If we hadn't had one Honda owner shoot another at a meeting in 2003 this policy might have been different. The same is true of anyone, regardless of what vehicle, that feels the need to compensate for his lack of manliness by displaying how slowly his vehicle of choice accelerates THROUGH the parking lot. Leave it on the track please. We're all adults here and we'd appreciate it if you acted that way too.

April GtG
Well, another GtG has come and gone. I was hoping to make it out there with my
84 GSL-SE this time. That would be two years and five months since I have been
able to take a RX-7 to the local club get together. It wasn't in the cards. I
have been working on getting my GSL-SE back onto the street after years of being
an autocrossing trailer queen and met the last hurdle today, or so I though.
The one fluid I haven't checked was the gear lube level in the differential. I
didn't have to crack the fill plug to find out how much was in the pumpkin.
After finding a puddle of 90W under the right rear tire I knew that one of the
axle seals had let go and it had covered the entire inside of the right rear
wheel in gear lube. Blech!
Oh well, next month we'll try again! I'll post pictures from the meet after I
pull them off the camera.

September Get Together
Our usual monthly get together will happen September 2, 2006 in the parking lot
near Cheddars at I-635 and MacArthur in Irving. Folks start to gather around
8:00pm and hang around for a few hours before heading off for dinner, cruises or
coffee. See you all there!
